Pendahuluan:
Pada pertemuan sebelumnya
sudah dijelaskan, expression of gratitude-thanking & apology (EG) adalah
ekspresi/ ungkapan yang menunjukkan perasaan bersyukur (show grateful feelings), dan biasanya dibarengi
dengan mengucapkan sesuatu. Sedangkan expression of apology
(EA) adalah ekspresi/ ungkapan yang menunjukkan perasaan menyesal karena
telah terjadi sesuatu yang tidak menyenangkan (feelings
of sorry because something
inconvenience has happened) dan biasanya diikuti
dengan mengucapkan sesuatu.
Lalu
bagaimana cara mendeteksi suatu teks dialog terdapat expression
of gratitude-thanking & apology? Ternyata mudah saja. Asal … anda sudah
‘mengenal’ expression di bawah ini (dan itu sudah dijelaskan pada materi
sebelumnya). Yaitu …
Artinya, jika anda sudah hafal expression di atas, dan jika expression tersebut muncul dalam suatuteks dialog maka anda bisa pastikan itulah expression of gratitude-thanking & apology. Mudah, kan?
Pertanyaan berikutnya adalah, bagaimana jika expression tersebut susunan/ urutannya diacak?

Contoh
soal 3 anda diminta mengurutkan dialog acak menjadi dialog terkait expression of gratitude-thanking & apology.
Bahkan expression of leave-taking juga.
Apa
yang harus dilakukan siswa agar cepat menguasainya? Yaitu, meningkatkan literasinya
(membaca sambal niteni). Sering atau
membiasakan banyak membaca (belajar) teks tentang materi tersebut merupakan
kunci untuk cepat menguasainya. Expression yang berwarna pada contoh soal 3
merupakan hasil identifikasi (penunjukan) dengan cara diwarnai. Maksudnya,
